How To Make Delicious Garlic Butter Shrimp

Garlic butter shrimp is a popular seafood dish that is well known for its irresistible taste. It is a dish suited well for any occasion. Combining garlic butter shrimp with steamed white rice, garlic bread or steamed vegetables would make a balanced and delightful feast.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 Pound Peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter. Divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. First, dry the shrimp using paper towels. Then season the shrimp with salt and pepper
  2. Melt two tablespoons of butter in a pan using medium heat. Ensure it is distributed evenly by swirling.
  3. Start cooking the shrimp in the pan by arranging them in a layer. After two or three minutes flip the shrimp to cook the other side evenly. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink. Then move the cooked shrimp to a plate.
  4. To enhance the flavor of the sauce, melt the other 2 tablespoons of butter. Once butter is melted add garlic to the pan. Let it cook for at least 30 seconds. You have to make sure garlic doesn’t burn.
  5. Then pour the white wine into the pan. Gently heat the wine for one or two minutes to make it slightly thicker. It will help to concentrate the flavors of the wine.
  6. Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to complete the sauce. Then let it cook for at least 30 seconds.
  7. After cooking the shrimp transfer them into the pan. Then mix the shrimp with the sauce. Make sure it is fully covered. Then add some chopped parsley on the top. Now you can serve the delicious garlic butter shrimp with rice or pasta.

TIPS :

  • To enhance the flavor, consider adding a combination of olive oil and butter
  • For spiciness, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Make sure you do not overcook the shrimp.
  • You can use chicken broth or water as a replacement for white wine.
  • You can enhance the flavor of the dish by adding a tablespoon of heavy cream with lemon juice at the end.
